Black Farmers Network (BFN) is a national ecosystem advancing the social, economic, and agricultural development of Black growers, youth, and women across Canada. We bridge the gap between farm producers and the growing demand for fresh, culturally relevant food.
Grassroots Black farmers face systemic barriers, including limited access to land, capital, and infrastructure. Historical exclusion has led to underrepresentation in mainstream agricultural policy and support.
BFN unlocks the potential of underserved communities by fostering food security and strengthening local economies. We move participants beyond subsistence into viable, income-generating agri-businesses.
